Practical sessions complete the theoretical sections through numerous driving situations and simulations which will be shadowed and assessed by the ATIs driving instructors. Students will have to undertake a final theoretical test to demonstrate achievement of knowledge acquisition.
Individual drivers can follow initial or periodic training courses for truck/trailer or bus and coach transport, in line with their national requirements.
The course is designed around three core modules:
o Rational Driving based on Safety Regulations
o Application of Regulations
o Health, Road, Environment, Safety, Service, and Logistics
A comprehensive lesson plan is provided to the instructors, detailing objectives, recommended durations, instructor resources and reference materials for each lesson within the course.
CPC Manager Middle East
The IRU Academy has established training standards for the Certificate of Professional Competence CPC in international and national transport for both road haulage and passenger operations for the ME region.
About the Programme
The IRU Academy has established training standards for the Certificate of Professional Competence CPC in international and national transport for both road haulage and passenger operations on the basis of international agreements and industry best practices. The IRU Academy CPC standards focus on regional requirements and add value by providing comprehensive standards and information, ensuring that training institutes, accredited as corresponding to these standards, maintain the highest quality of training and, through an international network of training institutes, best training practices
The IRU Academy standards have been organised so as to offer maximum flexibility. Associations or training providers can devise a single training programme to cover all the requirements for both road haulage and road passenger transport operations, for national and international traffic. Alternatively, associations and training providers may decide to adopt a number of modules with separate examinations for each.
This course is geared towards transport operators and other employees who are required by law to hold a Certificate of Professional Competence in order to comply with “access to the profession” requirements. It is also appropriate for management and other staff who would like to improve their career prospects and develop their management skills and transport knowledge as well as entrepreneurs and operators who would like to start their own transport enterprise.
